About This Course

Did you know that child victims of sexual exploitation often report that they did not feel that the adults they spoke to handle their case with care?

In this course you will learn the basics of child protection laws, the most effective approaches to support children who are victims of child sexual exploitation, and the necessary tools to understand and support victim needs.

The Agents of Change course has three levels. The first level will equip you with the basic foundations of knowledge to combat child sexual exploitation and assist child victims. The following two levels will provide you with an in-depth knowledge on how sexual exploitation of children takes place, and what to do about it.

This first level of the Agents of Change course comprises four modules addressing fundamental areas of knowledge for any person working with child victims of sexual exploitation. All contents are delivered by the best professionals from all around the world, working at the United Nations, other international organizations, law enforcement agencies, civil society, and the private sector.

Participants' Profile

The Agents of Change course is a specialized, victim-centered training for professionals working with (presumed) child victims of sexual abuse and exploitation, including:

  • Law enforcement
  • Criminal justice professionals
  • Child protection authorities
  • Members of civil society organizations working in child protection.

Course Details

  • Duration: Level 1: approximately 5 hours
  • Languages and subtitles: Available in English and Spanish (Spanish version available from August 17th on). By September 30, the course will be available also in French and Russian.
